Perfect penthouse apartment overlooking the beautiful Scarborough coastline.

Never had such an amazing view...five full size windows overlooking coast, country and town. Took our young grandsons....they loved the TV game area near to the lift (part of the apartment) a hangout den for youngsters. I asked if they wanted to eat out, they both shouted....in the apartment please. Says it all

We couldn't fault the Penthouse.

The views are incredible. The space and amenities are amazing. The children loved the apartment and it was so close to everything we needed. We wouldn't hesitate to rebook....but it's sold out for the same time next year!!! I'm not surprised as it's just one of the best holiday homes we've stayed in!

The views are incredible so it's perfect for people who can't get out and about too much. There is so much to do in the area and The Penthouse is amazing as a base with all the facilities you need and so much space. We have the best holidays here by far and will be returning as soon as we can. Thank you!

We recently had a brilliant stay at The Penthouse, 9 to 12th April.

It is a fantastic place, very well equipped and spacious and suited all 3 generations plus little dog. One of the days we walked into Scarborough and back and did almost 17000 steps but we had no complaints from our 9 and 5 year old granddaughters, there was plenty to see and do, they loved it! The views from The Penthouse are wonderful and so relaxing. Our only complaint was our stay wasn’t long enough! We definitely recommend The Penthouse and hope to return again soon

Absolutely stunning property with incredible sea views over Scarborough.

We would rate this as 10/10 all the way through the review but for the state of the balcony's accumulation of bird droppings which took the lustre off of the scores, this is the only short fall we could see. We would certainly return for a second visit in the future. Pete, Jan and family

Fabulous location with stunning views into the bay.

Very well appointed - no having to wash up mugs after every cup of coffee, or shortage of wine glasses! Lovely walk into town through the Italianate Gardens and great for those with mobility issues. Would definitely recommend.

A fantastic, spacious, comfortable and well appointed property (as described) with great views of the ocean and Scarborough and a 20 -30 minute walk into the town .

All the instructions for getting into the penthouse were very clear.

when we got into the place we were very impressed with the size, the decor and the amazing view. There were unfortunately some things that let it down. Whoever checked the kitchen area before we arrived didn't do a very good job. The glass worktop protector where the kettle is, was swimming in water underneath it, so much so that when you pressed it you got your feet wet. The kitchen cupboards and drawers had food in the grooves where you put your fingers to open them and finger marks/hand prints all over them. The lights above the breakfast bar are covered in cobwebs (there are also cobwebs above the shelving in the living area) When we washed some pots and emptied the sink, water was leaking from the waste (this looks like it has been happening for some time) I tightened the joint up and it seemed to stop but could do with looking at. The toilet in the front bedroom is very loose, when it was sat on it felt like it was coming off the wall. Also there wasn't any hot water when we got there. All in all it is a beautiful property but for the price that we paid we would expect it to be a lot better than it was and not have to clean and repair things.

The cleanliness the apartment was beautiful and stunning views, we liked that much we have booked again for next year.

A great stay in fabulous accommodation.

The views are outstanding. The penthouse has everything you could want for an enjoyable stay. It is spacious, comfortable and clean, has excellent parking and everything you could need has been provided. I would thoroughly recommend the Penthouse for a stay on the North Yorkshire coast. It is in a central position for exploring the coastline and the beautiful inland towns and villages of. North Yorkshire.

Oh wow what a fabulous apartment to spend the New Year in.

Spacious, with amazing views, equipped with everything you would need to make a memorable stay.

A beautiful property away from the bustle of central scarborough, but close enough to walk in to access amenities either by road or south cliff gardens (about one mile).

The penthouse is very spacious with high quality fixtures and furniture. The beds and bedding were really comfortable and it was fabulous to have a bathroom/shower room for each bedroom. The living area is beautifully designed and very comfortable. The outside space is great for taking in the amazing views of the south bay (this can't be fully appreciated from the photos).

The property was excellent, and had almost everything we wanted, it could have had some Christmas decorations for the dining table but it didn't spoil the experience, plenty of room and everything worked fine, except the heating in bedroom 3 bathroom didnt work properly and no.

instructions for the wall display , the one one the bedroom wall didn't work at all. Our biggest disappointment was on our first night we were woken at 2 am to a fire alarm, we followed the evacuation instructions but nothing happened after that , we got soaked and very cold until a resident worked out how to turn the alarm off and reset it. Without them would we have had to stay outside in the cold all.night ? As no one came or checked anything out. The following day the alarm went off again this time in the afternoon but a nother resident turned it off and managed to contact someone to check the system out , it was ok after that. It did spoil the first 2 days of our stay , but overall we enjoyed the apartment and stunning views. Didn't like being watched when it was time to leave by the neighbouring house , we guessed they were either the owners or people waiting to check the property.

It perfectly suited the requirements of our 3 generation family get together. Great views from the apartment and lovely walks through the gardens and along the beach into Scarborough centre. We have already recommended this property to family and friends.

A beautiful place where we made lovely family memories to treasure

Family of 6 staying at the property, 4 adults and 2 children, the place was plenty big enough for us all, the main living/dining area was great, with lovely views from every direction.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed, we cooked from there most nights from our 7 night stay. The bedrooms, the master is massive, great space, the bed we both though was bowed like it has an impression from where previous people have slept, the bathroom, has a great bath, walk in shower and double sinks, the tap on the left hand sink was not fitted correctly and needs looking at, the other two bedrooms, beds were fine and bathrooms all good, the only thing we all commented on, was there is no where to hang your towels once used, a few robe hooks in each bathroom would be great, plus a small bin in each bathroom would be good too. Also one of the dressing tables had no chair. The balcony could do with a good clean down and the rail directly out of the apartment on the left when you walk out, needs to be refitted to the wall. Apart from a few things mentioned above, overall, the place is great, really good location and we would stay again if we ever go to Scarborough again, we all loved Scarborough plenty to do and see.

We loved our stay at the penthouse, the apartment looks amazing in the pictures, and when we got there, it's even better than it looks in real life.

Everything was perfect, really clean, very well equipped kitchen, amazing view, beds really big and comfortable. Bathrooms are all really nice. I will defo stay at the penthouse again and would recommend this amazing apartment to everyone.

This Property is outstanding, of all the places we have stayed over the years this was by far the best.

Beautiful views of Scarborough Bay from the large windows and seating provided. The finishes within the Penthouse were to a very high standard and tastefully done. Nice quiet areas are available within the property if you need time away from everyone. Just a suggestion: It would have been nice to have some reading books available and some games for the young ones.

The property and service was second to none, from the arrival instructions, the welcome pack and the accuracy and cleanliness of the property through to the support from the facilities and maintainance team on the couple of minor issues we had was first class, we will definitely be looking to book again.

What a great property for families or groups of people of all ages and mobility. Thank you to Sykies, the full support team and the owners for making our Xmas and new year recovery break fantastic.

Wow what a fabulous apartment!

It was even better than it looked in the photos! It has been furnished to a very high standard indeed. The beds were sooo comfy, the knives were sharp!! (A rarity in holiday cottages we’ve found!) and the kitchen was very well equipped. The views are amazing and the apartment is so spacious.. they could have easily squeezed more bedrooms into the space but they haven’t and it’s resulted in a feeling of utter luxury! We would highly recommend anyone to stay here! Definitely Five Star

An outstanding property.

Lots of room and views to die for. Everything needed was there. The lift to the property was brilliant. The warmth and comfort of the whole property was fantastic. We were there through Storm Babet and this made terrific scenery overlooking scarborough harbour. We had an amazing stay and will return.

Absolutely fantastic spotless apartment.

Everything was top quality , no expense spared. We had a really good 5 days in September and can't wait to return. It was like living a millionaires lifestyle!!!

We rented this Penthouse with excitement!

Sadly it is being very badly let down by the House Keeping Team!, and Sykes Cottages in conjunction with Yorkshire Coastal Cottages commitments to issues!! Our experience was not a good one, and to make it worse, after what they said was a reclean, and delayed holiday start by 3 hours, it was no better! To save the day, and week, we ended up cleaning it ourselves. A a real shame, as it is a stunning Penthouse, if it was clean!! After complaint, the owner and the service provider have neglected to take our case as real or meaningful! All we wanted was this expensive, fabulous penthouse to be clean on our entry, it wasn’t sadly to say the very least! I could further embarrass with an itemised list, but sadly, due to the response we have had so far, I doubt it will make any difference! Please be ware that if you book and have problems, they will do their best to discredit or believe you have a genuine grievance! It’s a real shame too, as the Penthouse has amazing views and is spacious and well thought out! It could however, benefit from some furniture in the Atrium, and maybe a few scatter rugs in the main living space, this would stop the echo, and give it the ambiance it deserves. After doing the clean ourselves, we did go on to have a good week, we were determined not to let this disappointment and lack following up, enquiry to know if we were satisfied and comfortable, nothing! No welcome treats, that we know is standard practise, etc spoil our long awaited vacation. Feel sad that we feel duty bound to post such a negative review! Love the apartment.

Would definitely go again if I could afford the increase in prices. The info for access into the waste disposal building needs correcting. You need to start with C to clear before the code otherwise it doesn’t work. Would have liked a fish slice ( minor detail I Know) One chair with a higher back would be good. Guests have grannies etc I hope the block gets finished and tidied up soon. Three dead Christmas trees down the drive Is not a good look! Very pleasant cleaning team arrived as we were leaving. All on time
