“Anna gave us a warm welcome to Stable Cottage and was on hand if we needed anything.”

Super clean, well appointed and comfortable. We had everything we needed within the cottage. A great location for Whitby, Scarborough (open air theatre), Robin Hoods Bay and Filey, all clean with golden beaches. We loved walking in the Dalby Forest and the Cleveland Way with its stunning views - check out the breathtaking view at Ravenscar and its lovely tea room. Falcon Inn serves generous portions of fab food. At dusk the courtyard is lit with solar lights, very pretty indeed. Thank you for ...

Super clean, well appointed and comfortable. We had everything we needed within the cottage. “Accommodation was very nice.”

The whole cottage was clean, with clean towels and a full kitchen of pots and pans and utensils. There were also bits (blanket, treats) for the dog which was lovely. The bedroom was a great size with storage for clothes and suitcases. The owners were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Lovely place and we would stay there again.

“This break did not go as well as hoped.”

We did not arrive on the Thursday due to a problem at home but did make it on the Friday. However, it took us some time to identify the property, as the instructions did not say that the entrance was signposted with a large Holiday Cottages sign. We found that our booking had been taken by another person; however, the owner did have the cottage next door available for us to use. It did not register that this was the May Day bank holiday, so the area was crowded. However, we did tour the area on Saturday. On Sunday, the weather was appalling, so we left and came home. The break was not what we had hoped for, as circumstances beyond our control affected the arrangements. However, the property was excellent, well situated, and well appointed. We would consider it again if we wanted to explore the area.

“What a gem of a cottage.”

Very clean lovely settings and courtyard. Was made more special covered in snow. Very comfy with new tv’s enabling us to log into our programmes and strong wi fi signal. Had everything we needed and was greeted by Anna who was polite and explained everything to us. Even got towed out as got snowed in. Will definitely be back.

“Lovely cottage and well equipped.”

Would have preferred the bathroom/toilet upstairs rather than on ground floor but it wasn’t a problem. Owners live next door and we’re very helpful if you needed anything.

“Lovely little cottage with everything you could need for your stay.”

Perfect if you have a dog as there is a walk straight from your front door. Hosts happy to advise about the abundance of beautiful places to visit or where to shop etc and nothing too much trouble for them.

Perfect location , parking , fabulous views . We really enjoyed our short stay with our dog . The cottage had everything we needed with an especially comfy bed ! The owners were super friendly and on hand . Nice pubs nearby and easy drives to beautiful coastal villages . Would recommend

“Superb accommodation in a great location Stable cottage provides very clean and extremely comfortable accommodation.”

It provides excellent space and storage for a couple and supplies everything that is needed for an easy and relaxing stay. It's location is excellent, being located in the countryside midway between Whitby and Scarborough (both about 20 minutes away by car) and ideal for exploring the North Yorkshire coast, both north and south, as well as the North Yorkshire Moors. The owners, Anna and Jonny, could not be more friendly or helpful and have an excellent knowledge of places to go and things to do in the local area. Overall a great stay and really good value for money. We will most definitely be back.
