    “This break did not go as well as hoped.”

    We did not arrive on the Thursday due to a problem at home but did make it on the Friday. However, it took us some time to identify the property, as the instructions did not say that the entrance was signposted with a large Holiday Cottages sign. We found that our booking had been taken by another person; however, the owner did have the cottage next door available for us to use. It did not register that this was the May Day bank holiday, so the area was crowded. However, we did tour the area on ...

The break was not what we had hoped for, as circumstances beyond our control affected the arrangements. However, the property was excellent, well situated, and well appointed. We would consider it again if we wanted to explore the area.

With off-road parking, countryside views, and near a pub, this one-bed cottage offers the perfect getaway for couples or friends sharing.

Inside, you will be welcomed in by a homely living/dining room, where you can watch your favourite movies on the TV and dine for two at the table, toasting to a magical stay.

Moving through the property, you will find an equipped kitchen, ideal for aiding you with light lunches and food to fuel you on the go.

When sleep calls, head upstairs, where a King size bedroom awaits you to catch your night's rest, or watch TV .whilst the ground floor shower room with a walk-in shower, allows you to start your day with a steamy soak.

When weather permits, step outside and enjoy the front courtyard offering a quaint spot for you and your morning coffee while you admire the countryside views.

You can also make use of the surrounding fields which are free from livestock and are ideal for a bit of dog walking in the summer sun.

This wonderful North Yorkshire village rests on the fringes of the North York Moors National Park and is close to the coast. Burniston is famed for its dinosaur footprints found on the rocks in the village. It is served by a shop/Post Office and two traditional village pubs serving food.
