    “My husband and I had a lovey restful time at Cow Byre Cottage.”

    Daniel, the owner, was the perfect host and was waiting to welcome us on our arrival. We couldn't have asked for a more enjoyable break. Our little westie aso enjoyed the stay, especially the addock which was just a few steps from the front door.

    It was an absolute pleasure to meet you both and thank you for leaving such a kind review. But moreover thank you both so, so much for leaving the cottage so lovely and clean. It was a breeze doing the changeovers this Friday and I can’t say thank you enough to the kindest, thoughtful guests that leave the place as they found it. I appreciate it immensely. Lovingly restored to a high standard, this beautiful single-storey Snainton cottage provides the perfect romantic retreat for couples wanting to explore both the nearby coastal towns of Whitby and Filey and the spectacular scenery of the North York Moors National Park.

Offering first-class accommodation, this Snainton cottage is warm and inviting, retaining charm and character, with high pitched ceilings and exposed timbers and stone walls.

The spacious sitting room in this Snainton cottage has a large picture window, with luxurious oak floors and doors, whilst the contemporary opulent bathroom boasts marble tiles and a lovely deep bath, ideal to soak in after a busy day out!

With a well-equipped galley-style kitchen and a tastefully furnished bedroom, this Snainton cottage provides the perfect holiday home.

Outside, is a small sunny sheltered patio, with the original stone feeding troughs now hosting pretty floral displays, whilst guests also have access to a small paddock.

A five minute walk from this Snainton cottage brings you to two local inns, both serving food and fish and chip shop.

From this Snainton cottage, there are many nearby walks, both in the Forge Valley and Dalby Forest, which has numerous cycling tracks for all abilities, whilst a few minutes’ drive brings you to popular Scarborough, with its sandy beaches, restaurants and shops.

With the historic market towns of Pickering and Malton close by and a wealth of attractions in the area, this Snainton cottage is a wonderful base all year round.

SNAINTON

Scarborough 10 miles; Pickering 8 miles; York 31 miles.

The lovely, country village of Snainton is situated at the foot of the North York Moors and is an ideal location from which to explore the popular coastal resorts of Scarborough, Whitby and Filey. Snainton boasts two pubs serving food, a fabulous riding centre catering for all ages and abilities, and an excellent children’s playground. A driving range with par 3, 9 hole golf course is close by and many walks, cycle rides and country drives can be found in the vicinity. Experience Scampston Walled Garden with its renowned restaurant, enjoy a day’s fishing at Wykeham, 4 miles away, or visit Dalby Forest with its good walking, mountain biking and “Go Ape” walks for the more adventurous! Pickering, with its famous steam railway, castle and Beck Isle Museum, and the historic city of York are both within easy driving distance.
