Lovely and quiet,the grandson,s loved the hot tub , a nice touch by the owners with eggs, bread and plenty of tea and coffee milk and jams, the sad part was the black bull doesnt serve food anymore the meals were fantastic ,but there,s lovely pubs near to at egton the wheatsheaf,and the ellerby inn at ellerby which is only 10 to 15 mins away near runswick,and there,s the white house hotel which over looks the golf course at whitby all dog friendly by the way
Loved our time at pond farm woodlands, this is our 3rd time of visiting and it is a unique property in such a fantastic location.
Facilities are great, loved the sauna and hot tub. We had a slight issue with the WiFi and the owners went above and beyond to get it resolved quickly. A little sad that the lovely BBQ seated area outside of the barn building has been enclosed, as you can no longer use this area to sit in the sun of an evening, which leaves no real area where you can sit comfortably outside, but I'm sure there is a reason they have done this (maybe its better for the winter) Whitby and surrounding area never disappoints, especially when the weather is good.

The kitchen scales had a dead battery, as did one of the remote controls. We replaced these ourselves. 2.The emergency torch did not work, and there were no emergency torches in the bedroom as stated in the information pack. 3.The smoke detector in the outhouse did not work. 4.The carbon monoxide detector in the kitchen was missing, although there was one in the living room for the log burner. 5.The towels were old and very hard. 6.The en-suite shower holder was broken. 7.The soap holder was not fixed to the wall. 8.The heated mirror did not work. 9.The heaters in the outhouse did not work. 10.The shower in the outhouse sprayed water everywhere because a rubber washer was missing. 11.The candle lights in the outhouse were not working. 12.The seats in the outhouse were in poor condition. 13.Some of the patio seats were broken. 14.The decking was filthy. 15.The vacuum cleaner was full of dirt and had not been emptied. 16.The BBQ had a broken drip tray and could not be used as instructed. 17.A washing line would be beneficial, as we could not dry clothes properly. 18.There was no oven glove. 19.The garden table was broken and could not be used. 20.The garden was not secure for dogs, with open gaps leading to a field. 21.The small pond had turned into a bog and one of our dogs went straight into it. 22.We asked for the hot tub temperature to be turned up, which was done. It was quite gritty. 23.The photos are out of date. The hamper was not as illustrated, and there was no toy to take away as shown in the photos. Overall, it was a very disappointing stay, whereas it could be so much nicer.
Hi Paul, I would like to thank you for taking the time to write this lengthy review although it very much is a shame you couldnt have picked up the phone on arrival or later during you stay so these points either could have been addressed. As per your points: The kitchen scales; this was a genuine over sight and batteries do go. The emergency torch, we are sorry, this should have been spotted & there should have been emergency torches in the bedroom. there is an emergency LED downlight in the main area, you wouldnt have known this though. We do have a smoke detector in the outhouse, and you're correct the battery has been removed. This was due to it being set off frequently by guests using the washing machine, tumble drying and the dog shower. When set off guests don't always know how to stop it, or on a few occasions when dogs have been in there its caused distress to them with the loud nose. However this is not a legal requirement to be in the out house and was for peace of mind for us as owners. The carbon monoxide detector in the kitchen was not missing, we used to run a heat and smoke detector up until last year when the heads were replaced with a dual sensor, hence bracket that you have seen. Please note a CO2 detector would never be fixed to the ceiling hence why the one in the living room is at 1.5 meters from the ground. Also it is not a legal requirement to have a CO2 detector for a gas hob so please note this was not missing. The towels are not old and nor hard, these are sent to a professional laundry on every clean. this wasn't drawn to our attention at change over and apologies for this but if brought to our attention if it was like it on arrival this could have been rectified as we keep them in stock for this problem. The soap holder was never fixed to the wall, its on a suction cup. We weren't actually aware these were heated mirrors, it does have lights around and the shaving sockets but no one has ever mentioned this before and they weren't bought as heated mirrors. The radiator in the outhouse does work, along with the two infra red lights that work. again if you weren't able to work these, why not contact us so we were able to explain or pop up to show you? we apologise for this but if you had let us know we could have rectified this quite easily. Candle lights; this was a genuine over site and batteries do go. Out House seats;a little bit alarmed to hear they were disgusting, it is an out building and not sealed from the outside, but it is a shelter and somewhere to sit. some patio seats (meaning 2) were partially broken and we did know about this, we do have new decking seats on order but still awaiting delivery. the decking- we are in the middle of a wooded area, the whole outside was jet washed around 6 weeks ago but giving the setting naturally leaves, dust and what ever else might be in the wilderness does blow onto the decking. the vacuum cleaner; yes this should have been emptied but is this really a problem? BBQs cant be used on the the decking but giving this is not a BBQ but an electric grill it fine, if there was confusion why not ask? yes someone has broke the drip tray and we werent made aware of this, but it doesnt affect it's use. washing line- we feel been on holiday the last thing you would be doing is washing, however we do supply a washing machine, tumble dryer and airing racks. North Yorkshire fire brigade when visited advised us against a washing line as this could be seen as dangerous- strangling or possibly a trip hazard giving the area can be dark on a night. Oven gloves are left under the sink, (they were there) There is also a heat retardant tea towel given to guests. The bottom garden table is broken and has been removed now, however there are also another 3 outside sitting areas. We have NEVER advertised the property as been secure for dogs, we are well aware there isnt a secure fence around the property, this has never been a problem before and usually guests would ask either before booking. Why should this be fenced off? can i also remind you we are in the middle of a drought hence why there may be no water in the pond and resemble a bog. Firstly the hot tub was not actually turned up, but not up to temperature because the water is changed between each set of guests. If you are familiar with hot tub legislation you will be aware the hot tub temperature can not exceed 37 degrees due to certain bacterias becoming very active above this. Again we are in a rural setting and each time the lid is lifted debris does get in, this is something that is unavoidable. As for the smell of chlorine, this doesn't exist as we don't use it but use a chemical called bromine as our water sanitiser. Again if you had any concerns you should have contacted us. The hamper varies week to week, it is a token of our good will. yes there is no longer a soft toy to take away, these were made by my grandma who is now 97 years old! Most people when visiting never took them any way. On sykes there is nowhere that states 'a toy' in the hamper. The only photos that are not up to date on sykes are the one of the hamper and the outside decking, all internal photos are up to date. I think we have addressed most of the problems there, I'm sorry you didn't have an enjoyable stay with us. Hopefully you will find an alternative property for your next stay to North Yorkshire that will meet your requirements/ expectations. Thank you again, Izzy
We had a lovely week at Pond Farm Woodlands.
Thank you Edwin & Izzy for our welcome pack- fresh bread, eggs, butter, milk, bottle of bubbly, marmalade, jam, tomato sauce, tea, coffee & squash. Plus mini toiletries in the bathrooms, with robes and slippers for hot tub and sauna. There was wood left in the Utility Room with an honesty box for sauna. Would have needed to get more wood if we wanted to use Sauna more than once. The wooden lodge was very comfortable. The hot tub was used daily and the sauna was enjoyed. We liked the views from the outside seating areas, would have been nice to see views closer from the bench at the bottom of the garden however on arrival it was broken and impossible to sit on. We never used the summer house due to the lovely weather! We managed to have a BBQ using the electric George Foreman grill. We set up Badminton in the garden. The utility was handy to keep up with the washing and the dog shower when our Sprocker Bella found the boggy pond- which was not very fragrant!! Garden is not enclosed if you have a young or inquisitive dog. We enjoyed walking from Ugthorpe to Whitby one day and a bus ride to Whitby during the week. Such a lovely harbour area. We ate out at Quayside, Pescado Lounge & The Fisherman’s Wife. They are all allergy friendly, as our Son has a wheat allergy. Would have been nice to have had a day time drink in Ugthorpe however both Ugthorpe Lodge and The Black Bull pub were only open in the evenings. The Black Bull no longer serves food. Edwin & Izzy responded quickly when we notified them of the bench being broken on arrival, a power cut and the electric entrance gate not working. All issues reported and acknowledged. The only downside to the lovely owners was that there was no communication about Edwin coming to empty hot tub late at night 11pm + when we were due to leave in the morning which startled everyone including our dog who was very spooked by the unknown at the time intruder. A message to check if we were comfortable with a late a visit, would have been preferred.
Loved our stay at Pond Farm in March 26.
The setting was just perfect, accommodation offered everything we wanted. We stayed for 5 nights with our grown up family and 2 dogs. The hot tub and sauna were a fabulous addition to the tranquil setting. The kitchen was well set out though would have liked one cupboard to store food which could easily be rectified, also a bigger shallow pan would be ideal as cooking meals like chilli had to be made in 2 smaller pans. Saying this we would all love to revisit in summer months as think this place has much more to offer.

This is our second time visiting Pond Farm we absolute love the place.
Its so beautiful in its surroundings, our GSD absolutly loved exploring the grounds and plenty of room for him to chase his ball around. The hot tub and sauna are really great too. We love the little attention to detial like the lovely little welcome basket and shampoo's and body washes in the bathroom. The only things I would say, firstly dog wise...there was a small entrance without a fence to the field above the property, its not blocked off so if you have a dog that likes to run and explore and is a flight risk, just be aware, there are leads tied to the trees to keep them in the grounds. Secondly the couches are not very comfy, we didn't spend too much time on them but probably because they were just so solid and gave us neck ache. Overall, we had a really lovely holiday and our only complaint are the awful couches. Everything else was brilliant, clean, and relaxing. Perfect place to take you dog.
We had a lovely time as we wanted a secluded break and this provided exactly that.
The cottage is very nice, as are the surroundings and the owners responses to our needs were very good. If there is one negative, it is not with the cottage but with the local village which unfortunately has no amenities. All in all we had a lovely holiday.

This is our second stay in less than 6 months. The lodge has everything you could possibly need. The welcome basket is excellent and the little gift in the box is extremely cute. The place feels very homely, you can sit for hours just looking out of the large windows in the sitting room. We love the sauna and the hot tub , and our little furbaby loved exploring the grounds. The owners are extremely friendly and nothing at all is a bother. I would highly recommend this lodge as I have to family and friends. We will definitely be booking again. If you like eating out the black bull in the village is a must for food, it is excellent and extremely tasty, the staff are friendly, however, they don’t allow dogs inside the pub. If you want to travel a bit further out for food that is also dog friendly, the visit the Stables in Whitby
We have had a wonderful stay such a beautiful home with stunning views so peaceful just what we needed but not to far away to drive to some lovely places aswel it was a pleasure to stay for a week we will definitely return again soon couldn't fault anything the home and garden amazing

The lodge is set in an amazing location, in what must be at least an acre of land.
Very quite with no one around, great for the dogs and kids to explore safely. The decking could do with a spruce up, but the lodge it's self is immaculate inside and has great space for everyone. Hot tub is fantastic, bigger than the one shown on the photos, our 7 year old thought she had a private pool

So peaceful and so much wildlife, hot tub was lovely and warm. Lodge was clean and tidy and received a nice welcome pack with all your essentials to get you started which is a nice touch. Whitby is a 15 mins drive away so perfect for visiting. Xbox in front room doesn’t turn on unfortunately so couldn’t play any games. Couldn’t access Netflix as needed owner to verify by email. Definitely would stay again as loved it , thank you

Re Netflix this should have also been working however if guest sign out of this then it won’t let you sign back in unfortunately this is Netflix new policies.
Inside lodge was very clean and comfortable.
Bedrooms and ensuite a lor smaller than anticipated. Decking and outside dining area was in need of maintenance as the wood decking and wood seating and table was unclean and needed paint / varnish treatment. Best views are at the back of the lodge, some young trees block the spectacular views at the rear of the property whichwas a shame. The out house for bbq was not available for use as there was bird mess inside on the floor and there was no cushions for the seating. This lodge is not offering the facilities shown on Sykes website. Despite this we had an enjoyable stay. The welcome pack was satisfactory but not the same as luxurious as seen on the Sykes website.
Hi thanks for the review it’s quite negative and a bit upsetting, the decking it in constant maintenance with British summer this year we feel it hasn’t had as much cleaning as normal but it had rained most of summer and unfortunately been situated in woodlands turning green and mossey are some of the effects . The description of the property suggests it’s located in a wooded area and cutting down trees in the national parks to obtain a better view is frowned upon . I’m sorry this upset you . The bird mess in the outbuilding was cleaned before you came but unfortunately we had a couple of owls that had taken to sitting/living in there however we have now moved them to a new home . The cushions were intact stored in a cupboard. I hope you had a pleasant stay apart from all the other bits you weren’t happy with .

We booked a last minute 3 night stay with two kids and two dogs.
The accommodation is hidden away in the woods with lots of space for the kids and dogs to play. The lodge was clean, tidy with lots of facilities. Whitby was just a 10 minute drive down the road so lots to do nearby. The host made contact prior to arrival and made sure we had all the information we needed. We would definitely stay again and recommend! 5*

Before we arrived, we received a very informative text from the owner Izzy, this included contact numbers and information on how to access the property.
This is a fantasticspacious lodge that has a lovely homely feel as soon as you walk through the door. This place has everything you need for a comfortable stay and the fresh loaf, eggs, milk and variety of jams were a lovely touch. The place was immaculate when we arrived. We loved the outdoor space (very fog friendly) and found an area with lots of books, games and even some treats for the dogs. There was an honesty box which we were absolutely happy to contribute to! We didn’t use the sauna, but the hot tub was great. Would highly recommend and would love to return soon. Thank you
The cottage was located in a quiet and secluded wooded location and provided for all our needs, We would like to thank the owners for providing the extras which were very welcome and most unexpected.
The cottage was ideally situated for us to visit the locations we wished to visit. We would revisit the cottage for a further holiday and recommend it to anybody who wished for a quiet relaxing place to stay.

A fantastic quiet woodland location for this cabin, it was a joy to see a deer wander past and rabbits amongst the trees.
The cabin has a spacious well equipped kitchen and living room area and the bedrooms, though small, are comfortable. The outside patios with hot tub and sauna are an added extra to be enjoyed. Ugthorpe is a great place to stay, a lovely local pub within walking distance and a base to visit many lovely places.

The cabin is brilliant and very comfortable.....everything perfect. Everyone agreed that this was one of the best self catering holidays we have had. The location and outlook is wonderful, very secluded in its own woodland, albeit in a great location for visiting interesting places.

We had a fantastic break at Pond Farm Woodlands.
The hot tub and sauna was amazing, the surrounding woodland was so beautiful, our dog loved exploring it. There were even leads attached to the trees incase your dog likes to bolt (cattle in the next field and lots of wildlife). We loved the little touches that made it a very special trip, the little tray of jams and tiger loaf, wine and prosecco left on the beautifully decorated table, fridge stocked with milk, eggs and butter and the soaps and body wash in the bathroom, So thoughtful. Izzy was very accomodating aswell, she understand that my dog needed space due to his reactivity and organised to check the hot tub around us which was really appreciated. We absolutly loved our stay and would highly reccomend. We will be booking again in the future.

This is a charming cozy cabin in a fantastic rural location secluded and secure in its own grounds.
Modern and extremely well equipped. Izzy and Edwin readily accessible and quickly dealt with any problems of which there were few. The hot tub and sauna very welcome additions especially after long days in the hills. We plan to come back as soon as possible.
We absolutely love this lodge, we have been several times and will definitely go again.
The location of it is suburb, set in a woodland behind electric gates and away from the road it is so peaceful and quiet, our dog loves a roam round the woodland there and then a walk on the moors later in the day. She happily sleeps in front of the log burner while I soak away the days aches in the hot tub. The kitchen / diner is very spacious and with a large table the whole party can play board games or cards, we take our own but there are a variety of games in the out house. It’s clear to see how much pride the owners take on this lodge and they are very approachable if you need to speak with them about anything at all. Thank you for another fantastic stay… hope to come back soon
This is a lovely property, very quiet, and well appointed.
However, some of the pictures are clearly quite old and slightly inaccurate now. Just some small points of note - washing machine is very dirty, I had to clean it before use - if you take the drawer out you will see the dirt. No starter fuel pack as advertised, only fuel to purchase. Decking is a little tired & needs a clean, and no furniture to sit on at the back, the bird feeders have seen better days too! No utensils available to clean out the fire in living room or in sauna. They were both full of old ash when we arrived.
ThankYou for the for the comments . The washing machine isn’t very dirty and is quite an insulting and dramatic response , if it was a problem we should have been contacted . The decking does get slippy during winter and is always cleaned at Easter but unfortunately in winter and being in a woodland area this is something that is quite hard to prevent . The decking at the back of the property is north facing hence why we don’t have any seating . (Even in summer it’s cold) . The view makes it inviting but believe me it’s always chilly . We have seating on the south side and an outside sitting area that is sheltered in the outbuilding. We feel this is more than adequate . The fire in the living room is a wood burning stove and relies on an ash bed and doesn’t have a grate. this does not require any utensils, the instructions point this out quite clearly . You drew my attention to the listing about a starter pack and it is really quite unclear and the description Sykes have put doesn’t really make sense , we however provide logs you can purchase or you were welcome to buy your own and re stock our supply . But again I wasn’t asked about this while you stayed with us . The sauna is cleaned this again wasn’t full of ash as I cleaned it out between guests this has a draw that pulls out so again no shovel needed. The sauna does have a small poker that is hanging on a hook next to the fire in the sauna . Re the pictures we have fitted a new kitchen since the pictures were taken , and had new furniture in the bedroom. two years later we are still waiting on Sykes to come and take up to date pictures. (Maybe due to covid) we never anticipate it been a problem as they were all new furnishings and of a better quality and more up to date . Customer feedback is always valid and appreciated but it seems you were unhappy with our property. If we knew you were unhappy we have refunded you and you could have taken your holiday elsewhere . We always work with our guests, and are always a phone call away . Issues do occur but nothing was brought to out attention when you stayed with us .

We love this holiday home.
It is so peaceful and quiet yet close enough if you wish to drive and visit Whitby or the surrounding areas. The birds and wildlife you can see from the floor to ceiling windows was wonderful, as well as being able to spot them from the sauna or hot tub in the garden. The beds were extremely comfortable and the whole place spotlessly clean. You can tell the owners take great pride in this lodge and it clear to see why, they are also extremely helpful and pleasant if you need them for anything. We will most definitely return to this gem of a place

This property is set in an idyllic setting, set back from the road and completely private.
Had everything we wanted to make such a perfect stay, the hot tub was just what we needed at the end of each day. Runswick Bay is an amazing beach which is dog friendly, our pooch had the best time.

Private well equipped log cabin, set in 4 acres of countryside, helpful owners, who had made it feel home from home. More info required in the log cabin, on location of central heating thermostat, operation of heaters in the outhouse, and rubbish/recycling procedure.
Such a lovely lovely idyllic place to stay set in its very own large very personal private grounds, Doggies loved it too.
We were even lucky enough to glimpse a Deer on our stay! The most peaceful place we have had the pleasure of staying with everything that you need. The Jacuzzi was so relaxing at the end of the day too ! The owners have done everything to make the place extremely comfortable. Will obviously be re-visiting. Highly recommended. Arrived to some lovely music playing and a log burning scene on the TV. Nice and warm and spotlessly clean. Everything you need has been thought of, owners obviously take a pride in the property and want guests to have a great time. Loved the huge hot tub which again kept spotless. Would definitely return in future. Suggest a guest book in property so feedback can be left.

Instructions for everything quite clear and concise but no instructions for sauna and we were not sure exactly how to use it , we should have googled it !

We had a wonderful stay at Pond Farm.
We visited at Christmas time and there were lovely decorations up throughout. The welcome pack was lovely and a nice treat upon arrival. The lounge is a great size with a huge TV. Unfortunately the local tv mast was down when we stayed but the owners ensured we had access to all the main streaming services so being able to use those was brilliant. The cottage was clean and tidy. The beds were comfortable with plenty of extra pillows if needed. The “outside lounge” as my kids called it was fantastic for sitting it and enjoying a nice drink in the evening with great heaters taking the chill off. There was a fantastic selection of games, books, DVDs for adults and kids with an Xbox available as well. The grounds are great for dogs with a doggy shower in the out house along with dog shampoo and towels. There ideas a big gate protecting the property with plenty of parking. I would highly recommend Pond Farm if you’re looking for somewhere to chill out with quick access to the seaside.
A very enjoyable stay for my husbands 60th birthday .
The lodge is wet comfortable,clean & excellent for family to get together & chill out in beautiful woodland surroundings. The privacy is a bonus when using the hot tub & sauna which were very relaxing. Also the welcome pack was excellent . We would definitely recommend & return.

We had a lovely stay and will be sure to book again. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the cabin was well equipped. If we could offer some constructive criticism and I must stree these aren't complaints: We would have liked hooks by the hot tub and in the sauna for gowns. We would prefer real logs, sticks etc but understand why you use the instant lights for guests. We couldn't find a lighter but luckily I found one in my glove compartment. Lovely weekend facilities were very good,location was great for a relaxing break,local bus available so no need to go out in car [great if you want a drink out] really enjoyed our stay.

Excellent location to explore coast and countryside. The hot tub was very welcoming and the welcome pack was one of the best we’ve had. Owners gave us plenty of info before we arrived.

Great welcome pack when you arrive. Would highly recommend Pond Farm, for comfort, location, hot tub, there is a sauna but didn’t use it and a great undercover outdoor seating area and bbq - excellent value for money

!! Every detail is catered for from the robes and slippers, welcome hamper, games and DVDs, hot tub and sauna. Could not find fault with any part of the facilities at this amazing holiday home. I will definitely recommend this cabin to all my friends and family for a romantic getaway to a family holiday, it ticks every box!

Izzy and Edwin have created a truly special place . The accommodation is lovely, so clean , comfortable with beautiful surroundings. Attention to detail is fabulous. Quality finish, fresh flowers and lovely hamper , excellent location. I cannot recommend it enough. Izzy and Edwin are lovely, they are there for any questions whilst respecting your privacy. The dogs had space and the location is perfect. We will be going back next year as we loved it so much .

Heating on and radio on waiting for us. Our hosts had thought of literally everything that we would need and no detail however small was missed. Made full use of the hot tub and sauna and had an amazing, chilled week. Every detail really has been thought of to ensure maximum relaxation. Thank you Izzy and Edwin!
What a gem of a place.
Very warm welcome (literally as the fire was lit) a very nice touch. Very clean and comfortable and hot tub was fantastic. Owners clearly take pleasure in ensuring not only that you have a comfortable stay,but that you will return. Which we will!
A very peaceful place to stay amid all the madness of the year so far.
A very nice welcome pack and a little deer as a keepsake of our holiday. We saw deer, rabbits and a multitude of birds including a Barn Owl across the field and a couple of Nuthatches on the bird feeders once we had filled them up. We had stunning weather so no need to use the heating. Since being back at work it turns out one of my customers stayed in December for their 50th birthday, it's a small world.
A wonderful holiday lodge for a special birthday celebration with the family.
The lodge is situated in beautiful surroundings. A lovely welcome pack was awaiting us on our arrival. There were one one or two small points to note. We asked for a high chair for the baby but had to go and find it in the store cupboard and we were unable to use more than one drawer in the freezer due to a lot of ice. All of the family thoroughly enjoyed their holiday, making good use of the hot tub which was well maintained by the owner.
We stayed here in July 2020 with our two boys aged 11 and 7.
Lovely cottage, plenty of space in the garden for kids to explore and play ball games. Well equipped cottage, hot tub and sauna were amazing too and made our trip. It is situated within woodland which we loved as we like spotting birds and wildlife and even had a woodpecker visit the bird table ! It’s close to local pub which you could walk to in 15 mins easily. Without trying to be picky there is a stagnant pond to the rear of the cottage that is at the bottom of a slope next to the woodland. Other than being an unpleasant spot for the football to roll into I assume it’s assisting with the midge population too ! Not sure what purpose it serves really, However you can’t see it or smell it from the cottage and it will not put us off returning as we are intending to do next year. The owners are really friendly and were great helping us with local amenities while we were there, even provided some bikes for us to use ! Overall a great place to stay and we would fully recommend it

The owners couldn't do enough for you & have literally thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. Welcome hamper on arrival is fantastic. Would 110% recommend to others to book. This is by far the best cottage we have stayed in.

Even though the property was just as described it really had the wow factor that photos failed to capture. Absolutely everything was well thought out from the range of kitchen appliances and tools to the speakers and entertainment. Would definitely recommend
The owners are a lovely couple who made sure everything was ok, the welcome hamper was a lovely touch as was the log burner being lit on arrival.
The standards of the interior is excellent and the surroundings and views were beautiful. A lovely relaxing break away, definitely would reccomend and would return.

The Christmas tree and all the decorations were lovely and the dinner table setting was perfect. Couldn't have asked for more. Our hosts were really friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We definitely recommend this property and very much hope to return at sometime in the future,

Beautiful cabin in a stunning location.
The cabin had everything we needed and more for a relaxing break. The owners were lovely, very helpful and the welcome hamper was very thoughtful. The Christmas decorations made it incredibly festive! We loved the hot tub and sauna and our dogs loved the grounds, nearby walks and trips to the beach. Would recommend and would return to stay. Was a fantastic weekend away. Only complaint was that it flew by!

Welcome hamper was much appreciated & the best we have had. Very clean throughout, comfortable beds & good bathrooms. Helpful hosts who even lifted some decking to retrieve a wedding ring that had been lost! And a long tether outside for the dog to roam about Highly recommended & would look to return in the future

Holiday here was top drawer only draw back was lack of storage for foodstuff the owners were very helpful and gift hamper exceeded anything I’ve had from all my bookings normally wine and biscuits but this had everything from butter eggs milk jams cereals I could go on so well done pond farm owners
This is one of the most beautiful places we have stayed at - stunning inside and out!
The facilities are perfect for a relaxing get away, and there was enough space for our dog to safely run around in the grounds. The outside area with dining and BBQ is great, we used this whenever we could when the weather was nice enough! The hot tub was lovely, in a sheltered area, so we used this all the time. We visited the local pubs (walking distance) for food too, this was a nice treat. A beautiful place with lovely surroundings, we cannot wait to go back.
We have used pond farm previously and knew what to expect and as before we where not disappointed it is a great place to visit everything you require has been thought of, look forward to our next visit.
What an amazing place.
The photos and description did not do the place justice. The grounds were wonderful, the views even better and we even saw deer in the garden. The lodge had everything you could need or want in a home let alone holiday accommodation. The hot tub was lovely after a day exploring the moors! We will be returning as it was wonderful. Not 5 * but 10 *!!

So much to do walks, sight seeing and shopping. We found 1 week left us with a taste of what is available, and loved it so much we were sad to go. We will be returning without a doubt as every moment was amazing.
This was a delightful cottage, spacious and secluded.
Lots of effort put into the extras such as food hamper and milk for arrival, fresh flowers and dressing gowns for use with hot tub.
Pond Farm Lodge was enjoyed by a family of 6 adults and there was plenty of space for everyone.
The setting is secluded and beautiful but close enough to Whitby, and the surrounding areas for days out and sight seeing. The fixtures and fittings are luxurious and expensive. We all had a wonderful time.

We have been using holiday homes for the past 15 years and Ponds Farm Woodlands is the icing on the cake so to speak.
Set in a tranquil woodland setting, with outstanding views, so beautiful and peaceful. The welcome pack is the best we have had, unbelievable is all we could say. To say you could take your dogs, we did not find any dog hairs or doggy smells, the whole place was immaculately clean. The beds were very comfortable, and the hot tub was amazing. And to top it off at night the trees were lit up with laser lights, brilliant. We will defiantly be back. Well done to Izzy & Ed.
