Description

8 Grove Street, a charming three-storey property boasting lots of character is set in the picturesque seaside town of Whitby.

The spacious property enjoys a generous living space with three large bedrooms making it an ideal getaway for friends or a family of 6 with a pet in a beautiful area of North Yorkshire.

Enter through the front yard into the property’s large hallway, and head into the lounge, where you are welcomed by the warmth of the electric fire, ideal for those colder evenings.

Cosy up with your loved one to watch a movie on the Smart TV or enjoy a games night with family.

The open-plan living space makes this a great property for socialising with family or friends around the dining table while still being able to enjoy the comfort of the sofas in the sitting room.

Prepare a meal in the beautifully-styled, high-gloss kitchen with all the appliances and amenities you could wish for during your stay.

Upstairs you will find two spacious double bedrooms, both with plenty of storage space and large windows letting in lots of light.

The family bathroom benefits from having a separate WC so you can have a relaxing soak in the bath after a busy day without being disturbed or opt for a quick rinse in the shower above.

Navigate the steep stairs to the top floor where you’ll find the third bedroom, another spacious room featuring twin beds.

Heading outside to the rear of the property is an enclosed yard where you can enjoy alfresco dining on warmer summer evenings.

From 8 Grove Street, head downhill towards Whitby town centre which is full of amenities, all of which are within easy reach of the property, including a selection of pubs, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, convenience stores and takeaways.

There are many popular attractions and day out opportunities from your doorstep, the 199 Steps, which offers wonderful coastal views from the top and the ruins of Whitby Abbey.

Enjoy the history of the Gothic Abbey and see where Bram Stoker took his inspiration for Dracula.

Whitby Beach is the main attraction in the summer, with its striking and colourful beach huts lining the sand and two lighthouses stood at either side of the harbour, perfect for a day of laying on the sand or taking a dip in the sea, or just for a stroll along the coast.

Further afield, you can venture along the coast to find beaches, coastal resorts and plenty of things to do; Scarborough and Filey are south of Whitby, both known for their sandy beaches, with Scarborough Castle and Peasholm Park the must-visit attractions.

Head to Brampton Cliffs Nature Reserve or enjoy the white cliffs at Flamborough Head.

Enjoy a day trip in the North York Moors National Park, one of the largest expanses of moorland in the UK, where you can walk or cycle across a variety of terrain, from heather moorland to woodland and forest, and keep an eye out for birdlife that inhabits the area.

Dalby Forest is not to be missed, you can even enjoy live music concerts in this incredible setting.

8 Grove Street is an impressive property in the centre of Whitby, close to a host of attractions that will keep you entertained throughout your stay in North Yorkshire.

Nice house for weekend stay with family.

Parking was very difficult on busy terrace streets, had to just watch out for a space. Fairly clean. Towels and some amenities / snacks provided which was nice. Steep stairs up to attic bedroom (twin). Comfy beds. Short walk into town.

The accommodation was exactly as advertised.

Suitable for four adults it was clean ,comfortable and suited our needs for a last minute short break. Parking was difficult as the property is located in a residential area without any parking restrictions and on a "first come first served "basis. Normally stay a little further out from the centre of Whitby but had no complaints regarding Seafret Cottage
