    “House was comfy and spotless in a great position.”

    Only complaint would be no info on how to work cooker ect. Tv definatly.needs updating. Could.not stream most programs. Would have been good to have netflix or the dvds advertised but wete not there.

A fabulous traditional, semi-detached, red brick former farmhouse, situated between a caravan park and secondary school, on the edge of the historic town of Whitby.

Upstairs are four tastefully-styled bedrooms, two boasting en-suite facilities, and all with views reaching over open countryside or towards Whitby Abbey.

With a contemporary bathroom and a ground floor WC, this cottage provides excellent facilities for all the family, with plenty of room to spread out!

Full of character, combining original features with modern comforts, there is a country-style, spacious, beamed kitchen with a central dining table and a warming woodburning stove.

With additional comfy seating, this inviting room is a lovely sociable area, where you can linger over a leisurely meal and discuss the next day's activities.

The large, bright and airy sitting room has another cosy woodburning stove set in a feature fireplace, whilst patio doors open onto the sheltered, sunny rear garden, a lovely spot for relaxing.

With the dramatic coastline to explore, and the stunning scenery of the North York Moors to discover, this wonderful area has something for everyone.

Airy Hill Farm Cottages

These beautifully converted stone barns, are set on the edge of the bustling seaside town of Whitby, just over half a mile from the centre and are perfect for families wanting to enjoy the many attractions in this historic town and the stunning countryside of the North York Moors National Park. With spacious open plan living areas, they are bright and airy, with floor-to-ceiling windows allowing plenty of light to flood in and doors opening onto small, private and sheltered patios. Tastefully furnished in a contemporary style, they have a touch of luxury, with travertine floors, Smeg appliances and comfortable leather sofas. With cosy woodburners, ideal for cool evenings, the cottages are warm and welcoming. Each property is slightly different, catering for all family needs, whether it be a ground floor bedroom or a walk-in shower. Next to the cottages is a public footpath, which leads into woodland and onto the Esk Valley Walk, whilst the nearby, disused railway, The Cinder Track, is ideal for walkers, cyclists and horse riders. A pleasant walk (1 mile) brings you into the centre of this popular historic town, with a wide array of pubs, restaurants and independent shops. Explore the narrow, cobbled lanes and pretty market square, or partake in afternoon tea in one of the many charming, traditional tea rooms. With long, sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs and pretty gardens, Whitby has something to offer everyone. A must is a climb up the 199 steps to the famous abbey, or a windswept clifftop walk along the Cleveland Way. With beautiful surrounding countryside to discover and pretty inland and coastal villages to visit, these charming barn conversions provide a wonderful base for a varied and interesting holiday.
