    “It’s a charming characterful cottage in a great location.”

    My one beef is that the 2 single mattresses in the attic room are so deeply uncomfortable I had to put them on the floor to be able to sleep. They are the oldest cheapest kind with large springs and no padding. This combined with the bed frames in the attic being also of poor standard ( the wooden slats being too far apart to provide decent support for any mattress). The steps up to the attic room are very steep & wouldn’t be suitable for all folk. It’s a shame that the poor quality of the ...

Just paces away from a sandy beach and bustling attractions, this pet-friendly cottage is the idyllic setting for a family or four friends.

Be greeted by a shared courtyard, where you can unwind on the bench and meet others alike and then step inside to discover the sitting room.

The sitting room hosts two plush sofas and a Smart TV, so why not snuggle up besides the flickering as fire and tuck-into some popcorn for a movie night?

Stepping through the home, locate the galley-style kitchen/diner, here the chef of the group can make use of the gas cooker and your guests can gather at the dining table when dinner is served.

When your eyes grow tired, climb upstairs to discover the master bedroom, home to a feature fireplace and exposed brick walls and prepare for bed in the sleek shower room adjacent.

Venture up another flight of stairs, which will lead you to the twin bedroom, featuring exposed beams and a chimney breast, where you can curl up with a hot chocolate and a good book in hand.

A short stroll will lead you onto the vibrant Baxtergate road offering a plethora of shops to suit all budgets and from there sample a range of eateries, whether is fresh fish and chips or Thai cuisine.

Spend the afternoon on the sandy Whitby Beach for beautiful views of the coast, climb up the 199 steps or marvel at fascinating exhibitions at the museum.

Escape the hustle and bustle and visit the old fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay, here you can unwind on the beach with rock pools to explore and enjoy a refreshing pint at a rustic pub.

The traditional coastal town of Scarborough is also within easy reach for a great day out.
