WHITBY

This is a lovely cottage right in the centre of Whitby

It is a big advantage having parking with the property. There was a lovely welcome hamper with some local products which was a nice welcome. The beds are quite hard but that is down to personal taste and we like a little softer for comfort. On the whole the cottage was extremely clean with excellent quality bedding which was again lovely and clean. There was some superficial dust on the back of the main sofa which we would not have noticed but we covered it because we had a dog. There was also dust under the hinges of the toilet seats but this was easily rectified with a dettol wipe. Normally this would not be mentioned but in view of the pandemic these areas did need additional wiping. The kitchen cupboard doors were quite badly marked but this could have been due to the extensive cleaning that had taken place and easily rectified with a wipe of dettol spray. The fans in the downstairs toilet and 1st floor en suite do need a clean. The quality of the furnishings is excellent and you have everything you need for a lovely holiday. I would recommend this house to friends and relatives.

We have recently had our second stay at Columbo Cottage and the property has been perfect for our family trip on both occasions. The service provided, when required, was also first class.
Mr Taher
Columbo Cottage is only a few minutes from the harbour and yet was so quiet. Facilities in the cottage are exceptional and the property is very well cared for. We will definitely be returning in the future.
