“A Magical Seaside Escape – Perfect for Families!”
Our South African family of four had the most unforgettable stay at Madeline’s View in Whitby. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the charm of the cottage and the stunning surroundings. The cottage itself is a cosy and beautifully kept retreat, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The small touches and thoughtful care from the owners truly make it feel like a home away from home – warm, welcoming, and full of character.
Our 7-year-old twins had a blast riding their body boards on the nearby sandy beach, and to top it off, we were lucky enough to watch dolphins playing in the swells just off the pier on several evenings – absolutely magical! We loved exploring Whitby and the surrounding area. A highlight (and a bit of a challenge!) was the steep walk back to the car park in Robin Hood’s Bay – Mum nearly didn’t make it, but it was worth every step!
We also felt like pros with our crabbing skills at the bustling harbour, and the combination of history, stunning sunsets, and the vibrant seaside atmosphere made this trip truly special.
We can’t recommend Madeline’s View highly enough. It’s the perfect base for creating lasting memories, and we left feeling completely refreshed and grateful for such a wonderful experience. We’re already dreaming of our next stay!
