The property

In the heart of Whitby sits this beautiful upside-down cottage, Stoker's Rest.

Stoker's Rest is an excellent home base for families and couples wishing to make the most of the Yorkshire coastline since it provides easy access to Whitby's attractions, including the magnificent beach less than half a mile away.

Before ascending to the open-plan living area, enter the spacious reception hall where you can leave your jackets and boots.

Bright and airy, this space allows you to socialise as a group.

You can gather on the sofa to stay warm by the electric fireplace, or you can sit at the dining room table while the group's chef takes charge of the kitchen.

The kitchen comes equipped with everything you need, including a washer and dryer, so no need to bring your entire wardrobe.

King-size and twin bedrooms are located below and are both neutrally decorated and have access to the bathroom with a choice of a bath and a shower over.

There is a little patio space outside with a picnic bench that is perfect for outdoor picnics.

Take the short stroll over to Whitby, a gorgeous sandy expanse from which you access West Pier and see the beautiful lighthouse, when you're ready to explore.

Visit the amazing Whitby Abbey, learn about the city's lengthy history at Whitby Museum, climb the fabled 199 steps, or go along The Cinder Track.

If your wanderings take you farther out, visit Robin Hood's Bay, where you can discover a beautiful beach, a variety of cafés, and the well-known Robin Hood's Bay Museum.

While resting at Stoker's Rest, there's plenty to look forward to.
