What a fantastic residence!

And great location. The view is fantastic. It had everything we needed. Perfect for dog owners, the enclosured areas could not be better. And parking is something I always look for in Whitby. I will happily stay again if available when I come next year.

Exceptional and perfection.

Great view, brilliant amenities in the property, very clean, comfortable beds, garden front and back , peaceful area with a bonus of private car parking!! You can park up and forget the car for the rest of the week or travel by train 2 mins walk from station. All I can say is WOW!!! & thank you x Looking at booking again next year again out of season think people have realised It really is a hidden gem and why not? you will not get a better place with the view, gardens and parking any where in Whitby (typing as of todays date) So glad I found it Thank you Kate & Will (no relation are you? and Windsor address LOL)

A holiday home with everything that we wanted.

Clean, comfortable, private and with a wonderful view. Would not hesitate to recommend The View.

We've been coming to Whitby for several years The View is by far the best we've stayed in, tastefully decorated and furnished, really clean, beds so comfortable and a really quiet location, yet a couple of minutes walk to town.

Lovely to sit out front garden watching the world go by with lovely views, a real gem, will most definitely be back

Really enjoyed our stay.

The house was clean, spacious and comfy. Nicely decorated. Great views, bonus to have a car park space. If you have a bigger car you use up both spaces by parking sideways. However, we noticed there was always gaps in road out front. Fab location too for the town! We would return to The View. Note: unlike most other dog friendly cottages we'd been to, there was no dog bowls or anything for 4 legged friends.

The View is in a lovely spot with beautiful views over the Abbey.

The cottage is visually very pleasing to look at but the facilities let the cottage down unfortunately. The freezer was in a terrible state. One draw completely missing, middle draw couldn't be opened because it was frozen shut and the top draw was all split open and really unsafe. The oven needs a deep clean and the dishwasher wasn't working at all during our stay. I contacted the property manager who after promising to come out, never showed up and we had no further contact from them (i don't think it should be my place to chase them). The beds were very low and such a shame you couldn't sit on the bed and look at the stunning view over Whitby harbour and the Abbey. The dinning room bench chairs were more like garden furniture and not very comfortable or practical for children not needing a highchair. The shower screen also needs looking at as it just swings open at random and you constantly have to pull it back in. The View had some lovely features like the stunning front garden and the spacious patio out the back, the parking was great for two cars, the kitchen plates, glasses and utensils were well stocked and the games and toys in the living room were a really lovely touch. Not to mention the amazing views. We're conflicted over our stay because of the negative points mentioned above. The kitchen appliances are so important for a self catering holiday and it made cooking, and clearing up the chore it really didn't need to be or as advertised. With some investment in the kitchen and a couple of other areas The View would have been a 5* stay we would have been eager to return to again.

Lovely stay at the View for the weekend.

Clean bedding and towels and overall place . Lovely and warm especially this cold snowy weekend weather. Plenty of utilities in kitchen . Comfortable beds . Excellent for access into Whitby centre literally 5 min walk . View amazing.

Kitchen and bathroom need updating and the cleaning of these could have been a bit better.

The shower screen was next to useless. Downstairs furniture was comfortable and so were the beds. Electric sockets weren’t that convenient and one in the lounge was wobbly!!

The property was absolutely beautiful and clean with great location and fantastic views.

Just a minor issue which I'm sure will be sorted if not already. There's Was a very loose/broken toilet seat that moved around when seated. But once again the property was beautiful and well worth the money to stay in a beautiful town in somewhere very well looked after

Lovely house, great location.

Instructions were easy to follow and communication with owners was first class. No surprises all went as expected. Views of Abbey were memorising, every time you looked out of the window something had changed, the angle of the sun, cloud cover, amount of daylight, completely changed the view and outline of the Abbey, and of course at night all the lights came on. Stunning.

We had a lovely time at your place and would certainly return as it is so central x

Great location and nicely furnished.

Everything in good working order. Amazing views also. Both front and back gardens very dog secure. Can’t fault a thing and we’ll definitely return.

We had a lovely stay at The View.

We have a 5 year old and 2 year old and the house had everything we needed (baby gate, bunk beds, cutlery etc). Lovely touch with the board games and toys. Great views and super close to the centre of Whitby. Park round the corner too. Parking for 2 cars super handy. Only thing missing which would have been good, would be a bath mat to help stop the kids from slipping in the bath. But such a minor thing! Beautifully designed as well. Overall recommend and hope to return soon.
