An elegant four bedroom townhouse located just ten minutes' walk from Whitby's delightful beach and town centre. With two car parking spaces, a lovely conservatory and an enclosed patio/garden there is even a private mooring should you wish to bring your boat! This is lovely, with everything you need for an idyllic family holiday - a gorgeous Whitby townhouse, with lots of space and newly decorated and furnished - perfect!

Easy walking distance into the town centre. Wonderful having two parking spaces - and a play area in front for our 4 year old! Whitby is a lovely place and good centre to discover the area from. We would love to come back and would definitely stay at this property again.



We love this town house with its nautical-themed decor and superb views of the harbour, the steam trains and Whitby Abbey. It’s pet friendly, in a great location as part of the modern Whitehall Landing development at the peaceful end of Whitby’s East Side, and comes with at least two free parking spaces, a conservatory and an enclosed patio garden with outside furniture and BBQ.

Tortuga House has been completely refurbished and re-decorated with accents of blue and white; on entering the house there is a lovely entrance hall leading to a ground floor double bedroom. There is a small sitting room/children's playroom, a utility room with washer/dryer and a fridge with small freezer, a cloaks/WC and a lovely conservatory overlooking the garden

On the first floor is a sitting room with comfortable sofas and a Smart TV and DVD player. The brand new 'living' kitchen is fully-equipped with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave. There is a dining area to seat eight guests, an ideal spot to enjoy meals together and to keep cook company! This floor also has a smart family bathroom with a bath, over-bath shower, WC and hand wash basin.

The second floor has a superb master bedroom with king-size bed and en-suite shower room, with shower, WC and hand wash basin. There are also two lovely twin bedrooms which each have full size Captain beds, with a single pull-out bed.

PLEASE NOTE: For adults using the twin bedrooms, the Captain beds are a single bed with an additional pull out single bed underneath.

From the lovely bright conservatory you can access the barbecue in the patio/garden area. It’s enclosed so is great for children or your dog and gets the sunshine all day during the summer, so take a seat on the outside furniture and relax!




Located on the East side of Whitby in the Whitehall Landing development. Tortuga House is a lovely 10-15 minutes walk to the famous 199 Steps that lead to the Abbey grounds. On your way you’ll pass cafes, Captain Cook’s Memorial Museum and shops selling Whitby Jet. The historic swing bridge lets you cross to the Marina, supermarket, train Station and a number of outstanding restaurants, wine bars and pubs.

Access Statement

Description of property:
This town house has accommodation on three floors. The ground floor consists of a spacious hall which leads to a family ‘snug’ lounge with comfortable sofa, reading materials, TV/DVD, a double bedroom, a utility room with additional fridge/box freezer section and washer /dryer.
This leads into attractive conservatory with seating for 5 and doors onto the paved securely fenced patio area with outdoor seating for 8 and a charcoal BBQ. Ideal relaxing outdoor space for adults, children and pets.

The first floor consists of a brand new Wickes fitted kitchen with integrated appliances, a large kitchen table for 8-10, toddler chair and high chair available. Impressive views to Abbey, steam trains and harbour.
The landing leads to family bathroom with shower overhead and the spacious lounge which comfortably sets 8, with TV/DVD player and CD player. A very sunny room which overlooks the children’s play area.

The spacious master bedroom with en -suite shower room is situated on the second floor. There are two further bedrooms each with full size Captain bed with roll out full size single bed below.
Finally, two private parking spaces in front of the garage making this a superb choice for your holiday in Whitby. There are additional visitors car parking spaces (when available) at the entrance to Whitehall Landings.
