The property

The Homestead is a carefully restored barn set in open countryside on a working farm within the North York Moors National Park, close to the village of Moorsholm.

Located along the Whitby to Guisborough road, it is well positioned for getting out and about, with a bus stop just outside providing convenient links to Whitby, Saltburn and Guisborough.

The surrounding landscape is made up of sweeping farmland, established woodland and a wooded valley with a gently flowing stream, giving a strong sense of space while remaining easily accessible.

Public footpaths and bridleways lead directly from the farm onto open moorland and neighbouring farmland, making this an excellent base for walkers and those keen to explore the countryside on foot.

A welcoming local pub is also within a short walk.

Inside, the barn has been arranged into a spacious open-plan living area, where exposed beams bring character and underfloor heating ensures a pleasant environment throughout the year.

The kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking and connects seamlessly with the dining area and a comfortable sitting space, ideal for laid-back evenings.

The bedroom features a king-size bed and a stylish en-suite shower room, providing a calm place to rest after a day outdoors.

Guests are welcome to make use of the shared outdoor areas around the farm, including peaceful seating spots when not in use for events.

Alpacas and sheep graze nearby, adding to the charm of the setting and delighting visitors.

Fields, woodland and running water combine to create an appealing landscape that changes with the seasons.

In the near future, a dedicated stargazing platform will also be available, offering the chance to admire the dark skies and star-filled nights of the North York Moors.

The Homestead is well located for exploring the wider area, with Danby and the Moors National Park Centre close by, along with a wealth of walking opportunities.

The coastline lies within easy reach, alongside moorland villages and scenic routes.

The Cleveland Way offers striking coastal and inland walks, while historic Guisborough and the Victorian seaside town of Saltburn provide a blend of heritage, scenery and independent shops.

Whitby, known for its abbey, harbour and beach, makes an excellent day trip.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £150.
