The property

Rowan Waterside Spa is a sleek lodge tucked into the peaceful countryside on Woodland Lakes Holiday Park near Thirsk, Yorkshire.

With an on-site car park including EV charging and a layout designed for families and groups, it offers a practical base for exploring the surrounding area.

Step inside and you’re met with two inviting bedrooms, one double and one twin, each offering a quiet space to retreat after a day out.

The main bathroom includes a bath with a shower over, basin, and WC, while a second shower room with a walk-in enclosure, basin, and WC ensures there’s plenty of room for everyone to get ready.

A hairdryer and vacuum cleaner are available on request.

The heart of the lodge is the open-plan living space.

The sitting area is arranged around a Smart TV with a DVD player, ideal for winding down with a film or catching up on your own content.

The kitchen is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, and toaster; everything needed to prepare meals that can be enjoyed at the dining table.

Outside, the enclosed decking offers a tranquil spot to sit with a drink or enjoy a meal in the fresh air.

The hot tub, set to one side, provides a warm soak beneath the open sky; an indulgent way to end the day.

THIRSK

Northallerton 8.6 miles; North York Moors National Park 5 miles; York 23.7 miles.

With the gateway to the North York Moors National Park to the east and Yorkshire Dales National Park to the west, the bustling town of Thirsk boasts a quaint market place, splendid Georgian buildings, and a Norman church. Here there are a selection of excellent pubs, restaurants, a cinema and a leisure centre, as well as independent stores to be browsed at your leisure. Visit the World of James Herriott Museum, dedicated to the life and works of the town’s own famous vet and author or explore the surrounding rolling countryside and Hambleton Hills, offering excellent walking and cycling opportunities. The town is home to the Yorkshire Vet, All Creatures Great and Small, and Thirsk Races, and there are an abundance of local walks throughout the local area, including those at Osmotherly, the Cleveland Way, and Sutton Bank. Cycling within this location is catered for with mountain biking trails and road cycling trails at Sutton Bank's Cycling Centre, Dalby Forest, and Tour de France routes, and there are further walks and cycling routes along the picturesque coast of North Yorkshire, as well as delightful locations including Whitby, Robin Hood Bay, and Staithes.
