The sitting room invites you to settle in for the evening, where an electric fire takes centre stage — the perfect spot to warm up after a breezy walk along the clifftops.
Upstairs, the property features two inviting bedrooms: a double and a twin ideal for friends or younger guests. Both are served by a bright bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin, heated towel rail and WC. Families are well catered for too, with a highchair and travel cot thoughtfully provided.
Cottage with front garden with furniture, a peaceful lawned space — ideal for morning coffees, evening drinks or letting the dog stretch its legs. Roadside parking for one car, adds convenience, and one small well-behaved dog is welcome to join the adventure.
From your doorstep, you can stroll to the West Cliff, beach and amenities as well as into Whitby itself, where the haunting ruins of Whitby Abbey overlook cobbled streets, the harbour and long stretches of sandy beach. Explore the town’s quirky shops and fish and chip spots before venturing further along the coast to Robin Hood’s Bay, famous for its smuggler’s past and winding lanes. For a classic day out, Scarborough offers seaside charm, while Pickering and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway open the door to the wild beauty of the moors.

This accommodation was modern yet cosy.
We arrived early as we had been travelling overnight and the owner was happy enough for us to check in. The kitchen was well equipped, and bedrooms were comfortable. A Lidl store was right on your doorstep, and Sneaton Castle was within walking distance and definitely worth a visit. On the whole Whitby is a beautiful part of the country and this was our first time there, and as we had our wee doggie with us we were pleasantly surprised as to how many establishments were dog friendly. And an added bonus, the neighbours were very friendly too.
Best equipped holiday cottage we've ever stayed in - spotlessly clean and with a lovely welcome pack which was much appreciated.
Lovely comfortable beds and the garden was great to sit and read in. It's in a really quiet area with a 15/20 minute walk to the West Cliff and from there beautiful beach walks either into Sandsend or Whitby town. The only thing missing is a gate to the garden - our pup kept going walkabout but luckily the lovely lady in no 3 is a dog lover!! A gate would make this cottage absolutely perfect
