Offering a spacious farmhouse kitchen, two separate staircases, smart TVs and rural sea views from the enclosed private garden with patio area, The Old Dairy, Ellerby is located within the North York Moors National Park and is a great place to explore this beautiful region of Yorkshire.

Be welcomed into the spacious farmhouse kitchen, where you can cook-up much-loved recipes for your loved ones, with the help of the oven, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. You and your guests can savour a delicious meal around the dining table for eight, as the fizz is opened, and you toast to a wonderful getaway. There is also a Smart TV and speaker in the kitchen to entertain you while you are preparing food or relaxing watching the chef hard at work! You'll find a washer and dryer in the utility room just off the kitchen plus an iron and ironing board, so there is no need to bring your whole wardrobe away with you! Snuggle up with loved ones in the tastefully decorated sitting room, as you tuck-in to bowls of popcorn and begin a family movie marathon on the Smart TV.

There is also a king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room on the ground level, which is perfect for those with limited mobility. Also on the ground floor is a separate cloakroom for avoiding those morning queues. Two staircases provide easy access for two families or bigger groups to the first level, which has three additional bedrooms, one king and two doubles, served by two well-equipped bathrooms. The master bedroom accommodates two guests in a sumptuous king-size bed, and includes two bedside cabinets, a wardrobe with full length mirror and chest of drawers. There is also a seating area in this bedroom where you can relax with your morning coffee or watch your favourite show on the Smart TV. To the outside there is a private enclosed garden. A patio area with table and chairs to relax al fresco is complimented by a lawned garden with the views of the distant sea which is ideal for children to play. In the morning, prepare for the day in style with a soothing soak in the bath or a revitalising shower, before heading out to the enclosed garden to enjoy a steaming cup of coffee and the impressive views over the open fields and out towards the coast.

Enjoy an evening out with loved ones at the Ellerby Residential Country Inn, just a short walk away from your home, where you can treat your family to a delicious meal and enjoy the local ales. A short walk or brief drive will bring you to Runswick Bay Beach, which was previously named the "Best Beach in the United Kingdom" by the Times in 2020, and where you may beachcombe or paddle along the secluded coastline. The Cleveland Way, a 109-mile-long walking track, is nearby and walkers will appreciate the opportunity to experience a variety of landscapes and the highest point on the east coast of England.

Head to the village of Staithes, where you'll find a wide range of amenities including stores, restaurants, and the Captain Cook and Staithes Heritage Centre where you can discover more about the explorer. Be sure to visit Whitby, where Bram Stoker's Dracula is claimed to have been inspired by the Gothic Whitby Abbey. A day at Whitby's beach and a show at the Whitby Pavilion are among the options available to those who want to experience the town's history in the style of Bram Stoker's Bram Stoker's Dracula. A lovely cottage owned by nice helpful people in a village with good access to surrounding places even by public transport. A very friendly local pub with good food a big extra.

It doesn't say it has a freezer just says fridge and when I asked Sykes to confirm this was told no freezer so would be helpful to list it fridge/freezer apart from that small thing it's an excellent well equipped home.
Mrs Clarke
This is a very comfortable spacious holiday house, in a small village, with easy access to many lovely places and walks and beaches to visit in the area. Thank you for the welcome pack and the flowers! The large eat-in kitchen is great for family gatherings, and we also enjoyed sitting in the garden for many of our meals.

The property was excellent and really appreciated the owner's personal touches and attention to detail. Very comfortable and well equipped with good quality items. Really appreciated the owner very promptly posting to us an item we'd left behind.
Mr Sowerby
Fabulous property in a great location. This place had everything we needed for a stay with four generations of the family from 2 yrs old to 80+. So well equipped with even colouring supplies, high chair, garden toys, even buckets and spades and beach towels to take to the beach. They thought of everything and the beautiful property was spotlessly clean for our arrival with a great gift basket and fresh flowers on the table. Magnificent!
Mr Wattam
Gorgeous cottage in a beautiful location, The Old Dairy was perfect for me and my family. Well equipped, really spacious and super cosy and comfy. It was our first holiday with our 2 month old and the pleasantness of this property made it much easier than we were anticipating. Just one small issue as we couldn’t move the cot downstairs to the bedroom we were staying in as we needed to be near the kitchen for the night feeds. There wasn’t a way of me getting a message beforehand to request the cot was put downstairs so baby had to sleep in the pram. Would definitely stay again though :)
Miss Doyle
Our stay at The Old Dairy was excellent. Everything is to a very high standard - especially the kitchen which is so well equipped. The garden was great for children and adults alike and the situation in such a quiet village is perfect. It is also within easy reach of many local attractions. We can’t recommend this property highly enough!

Whitby Museum and Panette Park on a grey day. We loved our holiday and don't really want to go home. Thanks a lots for granting us this

We recommend the walk from the door through the fields to Staithes and home on the cliff tops.We loved swimming at Sandsend Beach and exploring the Valley opposite the parking there. Fabulous cottage to spend a week here as a base for our walking holiday. We covered a lot of miles over beautiful counrtyside then back to relax in and around the cottage Staithes, Whitby and other little towns explored, lots of nice eating and drinking places in beautiful surroundings. Will definitely come again. Thank you

Thank you for letting us enjoy your lovely home. This was our first week together for 3 years (due to Covid etc) so for 2 grandsons (aged 3 and 4) it was a chance to get to know 'Nana & Grampy. Note : 1 Beaches are lovely and not over crowded, but maybe difficult or impossible to access with disabilty. Sandsend is best locally with long beach to Whitby. 2. Co op at Staithes on the road just near Hinderwell, is good for all basics and some suprising extras. 3. North Yorks Moors steam railway Whitby - Pickering is an excellent day out. Thank you Joe Donnelly.

Ashman & Kashani family (3 generations of same family) Great location - so handy for several beaches/areas. Garden is wonderful. Views are superb. Love the BBQ and chiminea (both used well). The house is lovely and we've played family games in the kitchen and living room. In the garden we've got used to watching the bats in the evening: the owl hunting across the fields and the bees hunting down the pollen from the beautifully scented honeysuckle. Such a relaxing & restful garden.

Dear Sarah, We have had a lovely stay in your amazing holiday let. It exceeded our expectations even though the weather was a bit unspring like we managed to do some long walks along the cliffs and over the moors. The surroundings are spectacular and The Old Dairy so homely. Thank you.
Camille Rosario & Michael Miles. Margaret & Cornelius Brulinsma
Thank you so much for providing a superb home for us to stay in. We bought our tables and sewing machines to enjoy our hobby uninterrupted. Mike and Michelle were very friendly and helped where they could, good neighbours. All in all we enjoyed ourselves and hope to be back next year.
Dear Sarah & Family, Thank you so much for looking after us so well. We stayed during Storm Eunice and the internet was knocked off by the wind and you all couldn't do enough for us- sourcing a DVD Player for the kids and BT came out to sort ASAP!! Despite the storm we loved being holed up here together- we were so comfortable and can't thank you enough! We hope to come again and bring the grandparents next time!
Hartley & Baldwin
