Really nice owner of a really nice cottage in Helmsley, very close and convenient to town centre, just a 2 minute walk.

The cottage is a modern and is well appointed with all necessary facilties and was in tiptop condition on arrival. We are both in mid to late 70's and found everything easily accessible, bath, shower, stairs etc. We had a smashing weeks stay last week in August, and the sun shone every day with only one small shower in the week. We travelled to Saltburn on Sea, and Rosedale Abbey, Rievauxl Abbey and Helmsley Castle, and visited the Birds of Prey in Duncombe Park.....all recomended. We will definitely consider a return trip to this cottage again.

Well situated near the centre of Helmsley and parking a bonus.

Nice and warm, comfy beds and pillows. However, needs some tlc. No welcome pack, which is more or less expected nowadays in four star cottages. Even just tea, coffee and milk. In some cottages we have stayed in, it's a hamper full of goodies. Main bathroom needs shelves, as nowhere to put cosmetics etc. Twin bedroom needs a mirror and hanging space, even some hooks on the wall is better than nothing. Parking space and cottage itself needs the house number on them. Needs a lamp at TV end of sofa, as is a bit dark there for reading. Hope these are constructive suggestions.

A truly lovely and comfortable cottage.

In a quiet setting yet so close to the charming centre and market place of Helmsley. We are hoping to return to enjoy another week here.

This cottage is very well located and comfortable.

It is right in the middle of Helmsley in a quiet cul de sac. The parking is an excellent asset. It is good but could easily be great with some new kitchen ware, bathroom shelf and a bit of thought to enhance the stay. I would recommend it for its location, cleanliness and ease of use.

A lovely cottage in a prime location- quiet, but yet so close to everything.

Cottage was very comfortable. clean and warm ( very important for a winter stay!) Would recommend.

The property was comfortable and in a good location for the market square.

Also nice and quiet. Good off road parking , although a number 8 on the wall would help. Also recommend a torch, as the lane approaching the property is very dark.

This is a great cottage,it has everything you need and is situated in a perfect location.

It is so comfortable and spacious. Easy parking,small walk to shops and pub. We are looking forward to returning in the future .

Had a great stay, Helmsley always a great place to visit and people very friendly, plenty of places to eat and weather was very nice for the time of year.

Cottage nice and warm, bathroom was very hard work, could have done with a few hooks and a shelf would have come in useful as there was nowhere to hang clothes or place anything. Regards Rick Davis

The location of the cottage was great, we had an off road parking spot.

The appliances in the cottage were of good quality, and it was clean and warm. We would certainly book the cottage again.

The cottage is exceptionally clean and felt very Covid safe.

The position is only two minutes walk from the main square in Helmsley where the shops restaurants and country walks make it an excellent base both for the North York’s Moors and the coast.

Excellent cottage in a beautiful location

cottage was very well equipped and very clean and in a nice quiet location yet yards away from the main town

The only problem we had was with the directions, we could not see/find a Black & white 'Stone Arch' sign with a black arrow, so we drove up and down Pottergate a few times before we found the narrow roadway.

Found the bin store a bit awkward and could not see any obvious recycling bin. However the cottage was lovely - clean, tidy, well equipped and very cosy. It was in an ideal location with an easy walk to the main street. We absolutely loved Helmsley and are planning to visit again next year.

Clearer details on exactly where to park the car, we were asked [politely] to move it by a neighbour which I did, my car is only small but felt it was quashed into a corner and difficult to get out so moved it onto the road, not ideal.

the only other moan is not at all clear where exactly the turning into the Mews is and when we eventually found it we were unsure which house it was owing to no number on the door. The cottage is in a lovely position , is incredibly warm and has more or less everything we needed [had to buy oven gloves and scissors], all in all very good value for money

Although the cottage was comfortable there was no information pack, which caused problems in a number of ways: - when the boiler failed I had to call the owner and Sykes for information on how to fix it - I only chanced on the Wi-fi password in one of the cupboards - no information on recycling and which bin to leave for collection - no information on medical services I am surprised you let cottages in your name when there is no information pack and I would like your response on the matter.

I note, as you should have done, an identical comment on lack of information, in an October feedback.

Very nice cottage near to centre of Helmsley modern open plan was a bit low on stock essentials ie soap cooking foil cling film scissors bit nit picky really I know There didn't seem to be an help pack like you usually get is no info on bin collections

A very last minute booking and one of the best places we’ve ever stayed!

Absolutely beautiful cottage, clean and very well presented. We absolutely loved the location . The cottage had everything you could possibly need . Thank you for accommodating us at such short notice!! We will definitely book to come here again....absolutely loved it!!!!! Thanks again

Lovely cottage, only 2-3 minutes walk from Helmsley town square.

Very comfortable and has everything you need. Have stayed before and will be coming back!
