This stylish and welcoming end-terrace property is set over three floors and rests in the coastal town of Whitby in North Yorkshire. Contemporary interior. Private parking. Robin Hood’s Bay 5.6 miles; Scarborough 19.5 miles.

Totally A* 10/10, top of the league accommodation!!! We really couldn’t have asked for anything better

Every time we looked, there was something else that made our holiday special, from the excellent off street parking, the “proper” gin glasses to the outdoor seating, it just got better & better. Spacious, immaculate, high quality, there just aren’t enough adjectives to describe it. Best staycation accommodation ever !!!

About

Layout

In the seaside town of Whitby, find this wonderfully-designed end-terrace property, Sherlock Cottage, built with modern-living in mind and hosting all you need for a wondrous self-catered stay. Perfect for hosting a family or group of seven, this house is set over three floors and is within walking distance of all amenities. Begin by relaxing on the large corner sofa which sits before the cinema-style TV on the wall beneath the skylights which flood the room with light, before challenging someone to a game of table football. Find a quiet corner in the form of the snug reading spot, sink into one of the armchairs with a good book in hand. Over in the kitchen/diner you can rest atop one of the quirky leather dining chairs as you oversee the chefs at work in the kitchen, making use of the high-quality appliances at hand including an electric oven and hob. Sit out on the terrace patio outside in summer, cooking up a storm on the barbecue and making the most of the British summer sun. Choose from three bedrooms when you're ready for bed; a king-size or a double which each have sparkling en-suite shower rooms, or the triple room which has adult bunks and a single bed, served by the family bathroom with a bath. For a fabulous home-from-home in Whitby, choose Sherlock Cottage. WHITBY

What a fantastic cottage in an amazing location in Whitby

We only used the car twice as we could walk down to the harbour, shops and beach from the cottage. On arrival we were so impressed with the decoration, style and cleanliness of the house and we felt instantly at home, everything you needed was thought of and we will definately be booking again. A fantastic week for our family, even if the weather didn't give us the best!!

Sherlock Cottage was fabulous. Spacey, modern and clean with all the equipment that we coukd have required included. Really good location with parking too. Would definitely recommend.
Mrs Claxton
Excellent accommodation in a great location - with parking. The owners have thought of everything, including table football which turned out to be great fun. The house is stylish, comfortable and spotlessly clean. North Yorkshire is a great place to visit, particularly if you like the outdoors. There are lovely walks from Whitby itself but the moors are just up the road so you don't have to go far. Scarborough is just down the road too. If we return to the Whitby area we will definitely try to book this place again.
Mr Simpson
We stayed at Sherlock Cottage last year so we knew what high standard to expect and we have booked to return next year too so from that you can gather that we really do like it there! It's probably the best holiday home we've stayed in for some years.
