1. Beaconsfield Arms

Located on the North Beach promenade, the Beaconsfield Arms is a traditional pub to spend a few hours. You’ll find a great selection of drinks, outdoor seating for those sunny summer afternoons, and HD screens showing live sports. There’s also Wi-Fi available for all visitors.


2. Black Lion

Nestled on the High Street of Bridlington Old Town is the Black Lion – one of Brid’s most historic pubs. Its story dates back to the 1700s. Since then, the Black Lion has provided shelter for 18th-century travellers with stabling for up to 40 horses.

It’s also hosted a weekly corn exchange in the early 1900s and appeared in the filming of the 2016 Dad’s Army movie. Nowadays, the Black Lion offers a range of hand-pulled beers, regular live music and a tremendous pub grub menu.


3. Friendly Forester

Situated on the North Beach and Sewerby side of town is the Friendly Forester, a great spot for a family night out. Here, you’ll find a selection of drinks, entertainment and live sports.

And it’s not just a pub – the Friendly Forester is also one of the most popular restaurants in Bridlington, with a long list of sizzling pub favourites. You can also order food to take away if you fancy a cosy night in your holiday cottage.

4. Bull & Sun

Tripadvisor 4.5/5– Bar / British / Pub – ££-£££

Fancy visiting a traditional, dog-friendly pub on your Bridlington holiday? Then the Bull & Sun is an excellent choice. One of the most popular pubs in Bridlington Old Town, this Bridlington pub is the perfect place to drop in after a spot of shopping. You’ll also find plenty of evening entertainment, including live music and pub quizzes.


5. Harbour Tavern

For the next on our list of pubs in Bridlington, we’re heading dockside to the Harbour Tavern. With spectacular views of Bridlington’s beaches and the North Sea, you’d do well to find a Bridlington pub with better views. Inside, the Harbour Tavern has a wonderful, friendly pub atmosphere. If you’re an aspiring singer, they also host regular karaoke nights.


6. Lobster Pot

The Lobster Pot offers a different kind of pub experience than the traditional. While you’ll find an excellent selection of drinks, the pub also serves a variety of food – from rotisserie chicken and warming soups to a classic Sunday roast. With its cosy atmosphere and warm environment, the Lobster Pot makes the perfect pit stop after a bracing walk on Brid’s South Beach.


7. New Inn

The New Inn, with its spectacular beer garden, provides the perfect spot to relax in the sun with your favourite drink. It’s set one street back from the harbourside and shows all your favourite live sport. Why not drop by after a walk along the promenade?

8. Marine Bar

Tripadvisor 3/5– Quick Bites / Bar / British – ££-£££

This is one for the real ale fans. With regular appearances in CAMRA awards, the Marine Bar is a great place to find a new favourite ale. It’s in a cracking location along North Beach, with views of the fishing harbour and neighbouring Flamborough Head.

There’s also a mouth-watering menu offering all the pub classics such as fish and chips, pie and home-cooked roast dinners.


9. Pack Horse Inn

Tripadvisor 4.5/5– Brew Pub / Bar / British – ££-£££

Another pub in Bridlington with a story to tell is the Pack Horse, which claims to be the second oldest of the Bridlington Old Town pubs. In the 1600s, it was a coaching house and a regular stop-off for coaches heading to York. Today the Pack Horse Inn is a popular pub and restaurant, brimming with wines, spirits, ales and a mouthwatering range of meal options.


10. The Old Ship Inn

Another dog-friendly pub in Bridlington is the Old Ship Inn. It’s a classic British pub, hosting karaoke nights, bingo, quizzes and live music. In the warmer months, the large beer garden is incredibly popular with families. Bask in the Yorkshire sun with your favourite tipple in hand!

This Bridlington pub has won the Cask Marque accreditation and has a five-star cellar rating – so ale fans will feel right at home. The Old Ship Inn also appears in the Yorkshire & Humber section of the 2023 CAMRA Good Beer Guide.

11. Stackhouse Bar

Stroll down the promenade to Bridlington harbour, and you may bump into the Stackhouse Bar. Relatively easy to miss, as Brid’s first micropub, it’s worth searching for.

The star of the show is the Stackhouse Bar’s fantastic choice of real ale, cask beers and ciders, with an option to suit every taste. It’s also very dog-friendly if you’re travelling with your four-legged friend in tow.

12. Rose and Crown, Flamborough

If you’ve spent the day at Flamborough Head Lighthouse or the RSPB Bempton Cliffs, be sure to make a stop at the Rose and Crown in Flamborough. It’s a classic British local with beamed ceilings and a warm welcome. To add to the excitement, there’s regular raffles and quiz nights held at this pub near Bridlington.


13. The Old Forge, Sewerby

For breathtaking sea views and a relaxing drink, head out of Brid to the Old Forge at nearby Sewerby. Make sure you’re hungry, as the Old Forge is well-known among locals for its fantastic homemade pub grub. Your canine companions are welcome in the bar and terrace, so be sure to stop by following a dog walk.

14. Ye Olde White Harte, Hull

If you’re taking a trip into nearby Hull, make sure to drop in at Ye Olde White Harte in the old town centre. Its history goes back to the 1500s, with olde-worlde charm oozing from the traditional furnishings. It’s an excellent choice for the avid ale drinker, with an award-winning collection of cask ales and spirits.
